Much
like Toyota Etios Valco earlier that I review, the engine of the car was
unexpectedly impressed me. At first I thought the car with a 988 cc 3-cylinder
engine this car is like "home road", but in fact it is quite
impressive strength. DOHC engine with an output of 65 PS, the right gear ratio,
and an empty weight of only 764 kg making the car nimble and powerful. This car
did not encounter significant obstacles when harusstop-and-go on the road
uphill as in Awiligar, Bandung. Car fuel consumption is also good, proper car
with a 3-cylinder 1,000 cc. Small dimensions also allows me to maneuver in
narrow streets.
To
label a city car, the car's performance is impressive.
Comfort
Much
like city car in general, this car is comfortable to use drive in the city. There
was no significant shocks during bulldoze speed bumps and holes that we
commonly encounter in the streets in Indonesia. This car is relatively softer
than the Etios Valco, probably because this is the base car and as generally
Daihatsu cars Daihatsu does have a soft suspension system (soft).
But
this soft suspension also becomes my concern when driving out of the city via
the highway, because of the negative impact of the use of soft suspension is
less stable when driven in a car at high speed. This is not uncommon and may
often encounter when driving Bandung-Jakarta using Xenia-Avanza ang also use
soft suspension.
Interior
Although
it looks small from the outside (and indeed the dimensions are too small),
Toyota Agya TRD S has a spacious cabin. For those large body size like me, you
will not find significant obstacles while riding into this car. A touch of
silver in the middle of the dashboard also create an impression that is not
cheap when viewing the interior. Double din head unit integrates the central
panel, as usual we meet at the Toyota Yaris with a USB slot and aux. Cars with
this type is also equipped with dual SRS airbags which adds a sense of comfort
for those who drive this car.
Position
dashboard a little bit away from the windshield and dashboard placement back I
encountered a little bit high. This will be a problem for those who have under
160 cm posture that may have outsmarted by placing a pillow in the driver's
seat.
Exterior
In
appearance similar to Toyota Agya Daihatsu Ayla that is because this car is a
cooperative project is like Xenia-Avanza-Rush and Terios. Just like the Etios
Valco, body material used is also not too thick to get lighter weights because
of the engine. I give a score of 7 out of 10 for the external appearance is
quite appealing to the eye.
Conclusion
Toyota
set a price of 111 million rupiah for Toyota Agya TRD S M / T to Jakarta. I
think this price is quite reasonable based on performance, appearance, comfort,
and especially the famous Toyota car resale value higher than any other brand
in Indonesia.
Remember,
that Toyota Agya and Daihatsu Ayla is not the only option. If you are also
looking for a car that is reliable for use outside of the city, you can also
choose Honda Brio Satya E which has a price of about 7 million more expensive
than Toyota Agya TRD SM / T but has a larger engine (1200 cc) and the
suspension more steady to driving long distances.
But
if you are looking for a city car which is really use to use in the city, a
powerful performance, and resalevalue high, I recommend you to buy this car. If
you are plagued with the price of 111 million, you can take a cheaper variant
of the Toyota Agya or may also take Daihatsu Ayla are priced ranging from 70s
million Rupiah for Type D.
